Why we built a margin-first ERP

If you ask a distributor how they're doing, they'll quote revenue. Ask the same person what their gross margin was last quarter and you'll see a scramble.

The problem is that classic ERPs put revenue front and center. Margin lives behind three clicks, often recomputed by an accountant at month-end. For a business that sells physical goods, this is the wrong default.

Binpocket inverts that. The dashboard opens on margin and stock alerts, not sales volume. Every sales order shows its margin next to its total. Landed cost flows from shipment to PO line automatically, so unit costs are always current — not the invoice price, the real delivered cost.

We care about volume too. We just don't think it's the number to lead with.
